ProjectionFlorent Balacheff started Aikido in 1997. Rokudan and member of the Shihankai, he had the opportunity to teach in various seminars including the preparative cycle to EFE, the EFE cycle and the Aikijo/Aikiken cycle in Bourg-Argental. Dai Nippon Butokukai awarded him the title of Kyoshi in 2017. He also practices Kendo since 2001 and currently owns the rank of Yondan of this discipline.

Besides, Balacheff shihan is a professional mathematician. Former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, he got a PhD thesis in metric geometry and quantitative topology in 2005 from the University of Montpellier. Associate professor at Lille University since 2008, he was awarded in 2017 a grant Ramon y Cajal and joined the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as an associate researcher.

The complexity of Aikido is generated by the application of elementary principles to the various situations that emerge from relationships. This permits us to see the world as it is, in its all wealth. The discovery of these principles began long time ago, and is still in process. I am happy to have the opportunity to participate to the transmission of this knowledge.
