During the 4th World Butokusai in Kyoto , the former Prime Minister of Japan , Mr. Kiichi Miyazawa told us about these words which I found inspiring :
« There is a significant difference between culture and civilization. If culture is a set of demonstrable knowledge, explainable , that can be taught and transmitted in the framework of theoretical courses, civilization is a lot deeper than that set of roots. Teaching martial arts, you have one of the few tools to transmit, not only culture and martial skills, but also civilization. This is an invaluable asset. »
